Iwate Safari Park

The kingdom of the wild! Enjoy the adventure with African animals!

This is the “Kingdom of the Wild” where 600 African animals of about 60 species, including lions, tigers, giraffes, and zebras, live.

Visitors can enter the park by their own cars or buses and slowly experience the ecology and behavior of wild animals as if they were zoologists.

The Safari Park also has a monkey theater, a flamingo show, a monkey center, and an elephant village, offering a variety of ways to enjoy the park.

Enjoy yourself in the vast grasslands! Interacting with animals

Many animals live in the vast grassland. You can observe the ecology and behavior of the animals while viewing them from a safari bus or your own car.

In the herbivore free-range area, visitors can feed giraffes and zebras, and in the carnivore free-range area, they can witness the powerful sight of lions and tigers.

Interacting with cute animals

At the Animal Land, visitors can interact with cute animals. At the petting zoo, visitors can interact with monkeys, capybaras, and penguins, and enjoy parrot talk and mimicry.

At the Elephant Village, visitors can walk around on the backs of elephants. Please enjoy interacting with these delightful animals.

At Iwate Safari Park, you can enjoy local delicacies and souvenirs. Restaurants offer a wide variety of delicious dishes such as cold noodles, Maesawa beef hamburgers, and ramen noodles.
